Viral ad for the Nokia N900. Not just a cell phone apparently. But then again, who has a cell phone these days that's just a cell phone?

Michael Bay's Cell Phone Needs a Disguise

So LG had an event for their sponsorship of the Transformers 2 movie and director Michael Bay came up to speak at the event. Bay owns a Samsung phone. All things point to FAIL.
Unfortunately for the gathered LG employees, this time Mike-Mike delivered a figurative explosion, telling the crowd "I don't know anything about mobile phones. In fact, look at my phone -- it's a thirty-nine dollar Samsung." Ouch -- that's roughly the equivalent of throwing a Ford in with the rest of the Autobots. Making matters worse, LG president of mobile products Juno Cho tried to salvage the moment by offering Bay his personal phone, but was rebuffed because "all my contacts are in the other one." Yeah, that's probably not the best way to play it -- although we're guessing Samsung's already angling for TouchWiz to feature prominently in Transformers 3.

T-Mobile Drops the Round Mound of Rebound

T-Mobile has decided to drop Sir Charles from their ads after his DUI arrest. A T-Mobile spokesman said, "Given the recent developments, for the time being, we've replaced TV ads featuring Mr. Barkley with more general-market advertising. As he works through his personal matters, we will evaluate where to go from here."
I wonder if things would have been different had he not mentioned the fact that he was just looking to get some (apparently) great oral sex.
The victim here will be Dwayne Wade (Barkley's T-Mobile co-star). He's going to have to do these ads on his own now. Hey, maybe Kenny Smith can fill in for a few spots. He already has some experience doing those Nike Hyper-Dunk shoe ads. [TMZ]
