Chicago's Rick Morrissey Eats His Own Words

Two years ago, the Chicago Bulls drafted Joakim Noah from Florida. Noah was never an offensive powerhouse in college, but in fact was usually a liability on that end of the floor. But on defense he was a good enough defender to help his team get, not just one, but two national titles.
After the Bulls drafted him, Chicago Tribune's sports writer, Rick Morrissey called out the Bulls for making a crappy draft move and wrote that Noah would turn into another wasted draft pick. Going as far as saying he'd eat his printed column if he was wrong. Quite confident.
Unfortunately (fortunately if you're a Bulls fan), Noah turned out pretty well. He's averaging a double-double. As promised, Morrissey at his words...literally.

This made my night :)
And there was this scrap up between two lovers who are trying to be fighters.
If Rondo gets suspended, Game 7 won't be going into overtime.

Kendrick Perkins Smacktalk

Kendrick Perkins should probably focus on getting the Celtics to start playing 2008 Celtic basketball instead of talking smack about Derrick Rose (aka your soon to be Rookie of the Year).
"Everybody has their night," Perkins said, according to the Associated Press. "I know it won't happen again. He'll never have another game like that against us."

Derrick Rose Will be Named Rookie of the Year

I think it's safe to say (even though game 1 is not over yet) that Derrick Rose will be named Rookie of the year for the 2008-09 season. With 6 minutes left, he has 32 points, 8 assists and 4 rebounds. Oh yea, this is his first playoff game EVER. 32 points is a career-high for him as well and there s plenty of time to up that as well. So there it is, Derrick Rose = ROY.
Anything short of that would be highway robbery.
UPDATE: Rose finished with 36 points, 11 assists and 4 rebounds. He fouled out as well.
