Lil Wayne, Eminem, Drake, Travis Barker - Drop the World/Forever

Performed at the Grammys. A good chunk of it was bleeped out, but still a great performance.

Sad that the greatest rap song of the year wasn't even nominated, but at least Eminem got 2 Grammys. He did have the top selling rap album of the year.



The international version is has low volume, but less editing.

In Other DJ Hero News: Eminem and Jay-Z Perform!

Two artists the guy in the video in the post below didn't mention for inclusion in DJ Hero: Eminem and Jay-Z. It's been announced that both are going to have some of their catalog available for play in the game, but that's not what this story is about.

At the DJ Hero par-tay last night, Jay performed a set that included a few of his hits (blah blah) before leaving the stage. But oh that tricky Jigga. He soon came back on stage and asked the crowd if he could do one more song, at which point dropped the beat to "Renagade" and out walked Eminem to perform with Jay-Z on the same stage for the first time in seven years. Needless to say, the crowd proceeded to go Bonkers the Cat. Em then went on to perform his own set, but who cares, right?

Anyway, if I can find video of it, I'll have it up here pronto. Otherwise, lLet's all continue wishing we were there, and waiting for DJ Hero to come out so we can all come to my house to play.

STOCKHOLM (AP) -- Wearing bandanas and waving Jolly Roger flags, hundreds of supporters of file-sharing hub The Pirate Bay demonstrated on Saturday against a Swedish court's conviction of the Internet site's organizers.

The Stockholm district court on Friday sentenced Gottfrid Svartholm Warg, Peter Sunde, Fredrik Neij and Carl Lundstrom to one year in prison each for helping millions of Pirate Bay users commit copyright violations of movies, music and computer games.

The court also ordered them to pay 30 million kronor ($3.6 million) in damages to international entertainment companies, including Warner Bros., Sony Music Entertainment, EMI and Columbia Pictures.

The entertainment industry applauded the move, calling it a landmark decision protecting the rights of those whose livelihood depend on creative activity.

All four defendants have vowed to appeal the verdict.

The rallies against "judicial murder" occurred in Stockholm, Goteborg, Karlstad and Lund and were organized by The Pirate Party. The political party, which supports free file-sharing for noncommercial use, said its membership rose by more than 20 percent to about 20,000 after the court announced its verdict.

Police spokeswoman Birgitta Nilsen said at least 500 mostly young people were protesting in Stockholm alone, many supporting the Pirate Bay defendants by wearing bandanas and carrying skull and crossbones flags.

The Pirate Party does not have any formal ties to The Pirate Bay, but has expressed its support of the site on several occasions.

Party Chairman and founder Rickard Falkvinge received loud cheers as he addressed the black-clad crowd at the Medborgarplatsen square in downtown Stockholm, demanding that the defendants to be freed from the charges.

"The establishment and the politicians have declared war against our whole generation," he said, calling on "file-sharing for the people."

The Pirate Bay doesn't host copyright-protected material, but directs users to content through so-called torrent files. It has an estimated 22 million users worldwide.

The crux of it is that I just don't want to be told when to watch them, how to watch them, and what to watch them on. I'd say that for a lot of people, that's the case. Sure, some people just steal because they don't want to or can't pay, but a lot of people are just waiting for the official distribution model to be just as slick as BitTorrent.

Look at how popular iTunes became. That system thrived because it provided a great mainstream experience, even while limewire/napster were free and thriving. Or look at Hulu now. I don't have to go to BitTorrent for a TV show—new or old—if it's on something as amazing and easy-to-use as Hulu. (And some studies show that people are migrating from torrent to streaming, when it's viable.) I just don't want to have to be told I have to wait to see movies on my computer/phone in some crippled way, weeks later. For me, it's about speed, and ultimately convenience and experience, above all else. I don't get that at the megaplex, no matter how much they want me to line their pockets with popcorn and gummibear money.

And if you feel the same way I do, make a pirate hat, take a photo of yourself wearing it with or without an eyepatch, parrot, cardboard sword, and post it somewhere, anywhere, and declare yourself a pirate.
