Toshiba Regza SV LED HDTV
The people at Toshiba launched a armchair into space to promote it's new LED backlit HDTV with local dimming. The chair was attached to a helium balloon and filmed with a HD camera. Be sure to watch til the end.

New HDMI 1.4 Features Revealed
For those who don't know, an HDMI cable is the ridiculously expensive cable required to connect an HDTV to a video component like a bluray player or digital cable. The newly released HDMI spec brings several new features to the consumer. The biggest of which is an integrated Ethernet channel that will provide network connectivity to connected devices thereby eliminating the need for a separate network connection via the Ethernet cable.
