Looking for a Guinness? There's an App for That

Released as part of Guinness's 250th Anniversary, the Guinness Pub Finder uses GPS on the iPhone to locate the nearest pub that serves Guinness. Here are the full list of features:

o. Locate a Pint - uses GPS to locate the consumer and the pubs serving Guinness nearest to their current location. It then provides name, address and telephone number of the pub chosen, access to directions, and an email setup to invite friends to join.

o. Know Your Pint - provides a tutorial on the 6 Steps to Creating the Perfect Pint, and also includes a ruler that can be used to measure your pint's head.

o. Fun Extras - includes animated screensavers, a countdown clock to the "Arthur's Day" celebrations and a live feed of the latest news regarding the Guinness 250th Anniversary celebration

o. Responsible Drinking - Provides consumers with the DRINKiQ resource which shares important facts about alcohol to aid responsible choices.

If you want to get creative with your canned drinks, turn your can into a car like Sandy did.

I have always religiously recycled but often spent time looking at the graphics on the can and looking at the shape of the bottom thinking "That could make a really cool wheel". After having an accident which left me with some time to use, I decided to put pencil to paper and try and make a racing car using the bottoms of cans as its wheels, and the graphics as the decoration for the body. RE: Guinness Celebrates 250 Years With a New Stout

2009 marks Guinness' 250th Anniversary and to celebrate, the 1759 society is launching a Special Edition Guinness 250th Anniversary Stout on April 24.

We couldn't be prouder of this stout. Using a unique brewhouse process that combines the use of stout and ale malt, it's a distinctive carbonated stout with a clean, smooth finish. This is especially exciting, as we haven't introduced a new stout to the US since 1967, when we first started importing Guinness® Draught.
