Plants Vs. Zombies Coming to iPhone in January!

Plants vs. Zombies is one of the cooler PopCap games made for both PC and Mac and in late January, it's going to be available in the App store for the iPhone and iPod Touch. If it's anything like the computer version, it's a must buy.

Tits, Boobies & Pussy Lovers

Two apps have hit the iTunes App store for the iPhone and iPod Touch. One is called Tits & Boobies and the other is Pussy Lovers. (Allllllll Riiiiighhht) (Giggidy Giggidy, Giggidy Goo!) Yea, it's not what your dirty mind thinks it is. GET THAT THOUGHT OUT OF YOUR HEAD, PERV!


The apps let you check out pictures of birds and cats "as God intended to be viewed in their real forms." Not sure exactly how the names got approved by apple, but it's definitely a good trick by the app makers to entice downloads.

N64 Emulator for iPhone

It's not out for everyone, but people with Jailbroken iPhones can get the app now. It also supports the Bluetooth Wiimote.

A Truly Successful App Story

The developer of the Tap Tap Revenge series, Tapulous of iPhone apps is raking in $1M a month from sales in the App Store. They have 20 employees and have managed to have their apps downloaded 20 million times and their games played 600 million times. Insane. [Reuters]

Another augmented reality has been released for the iPhone, this time by beer maker Stella Artois. The app lets you find bars or restaurants that serves Stella. The app is free.

OMG Pirate! Trailer

Made by the creators of Zombieville USA comes OMG Pirates! for the iPhone and iPod touch. Zombieville USA ($1.99) is very addicting and I'm sure OMG Pirates will be the same. Very fun for cheap.

Looking for a Guinness? There's an App for That

Released as part of Guinness's 250th Anniversary, the Guinness Pub Finder uses GPS on the iPhone to locate the nearest pub that serves Guinness. Here are the full list of features:

o. Locate a Pint - uses GPS to locate the consumer and the pubs serving Guinness nearest to their current location. It then provides name, address and telephone number of the pub chosen, access to directions, and an email setup to invite friends to join.

iPhone firmware version 3.1 is now available for download on iTunes.

It'll have Genius recommendations for iTunes, Genius mixes, ability to download ringtones wirelessly, and will allow users to organize apps through iTunes.

iTunes 9.0 Available Today!

The new iTunes update will allow iPhone and iPod touch users to arrange their apps before they sync to their device.

You'll also be able to share content links through facebook and twitter.


New content will be available for music and videos purchased through the iTunes store. Liner notes, booklets, interactive dvd-type features will come along with purchases.

There is also a share from home feature that allows you to drag a song from another user's library into your library.

It's a little early for Halloween, but here's a way to include your iPhone into your costume. All you need is a box to cover your head, some tape, your iPhone and the Mouthoff app from the iTunes app store. You can then glam it up however you like.

Share Videos on iPhone 3GS with Qik

Qik is finally available on all iPhone 3GS. Qik is an app that lets users share video (since we don't have damn MMS yet). You can share via sms, e-mail, twitter, youtube and facebook. It's currently wifi only and doesn't support streaming, but the developers are saying that will change. Get Qik for the iPhone 3GS for free from the iTunes App Store. [Lifehacker]

Rumor: iTunes 9 to have Blu-Ray Support, App Organization

One of the continuing obvious omissions from Apple computers is the lack of a blu-ray player. Although this was previously dismissed, it looks like Apple is coming around to realizing that blu-ray technology is here to stay. Rumors say that iTunes 9.0 will have support for blu-ray.

The second rumor is something all iPhone and iPod Touch users have been struggling with for a while when it comes to managing your app on iTunes. It looks like iTunes 9 will also have some sort of organization system for apps. Hopefully it works as well as the video below (just a concept).

NYC Exit Strategy App Gets You In and Out of the Subways Quick

The NYC Exit Strategy App for the iPhone, Blackberry, Android and Kindle makes finding the correct route to your destination very easy. All you have to do is choose your destination or what line you want to use and it will give you all the possible entrances and exits. It even has notices for handicap-accessible stations. Never have to look at a crappy, confusing, crowded subway map again! Not to mention, it tells you which subway car to sit in, so that you can get out at the stairs closest to your destination. It sells for $2, totally a fair price to pay for the time you'll save. [Gizmodo]

MapQuest Releases MapQuest 4 Mobile

MapQuest 4 Mobile is now available as an app in the iTunes App store. It provides a decent alternative to the native Google Maps. The one thing I noticed was that address support was not available. Outside of that it works pretty well. You can save a page of widgets in the app (up to 20) which may come in handy when you're on the road. Watch Hulu in Full Screen Mode (Yes, Even on Your Mac)
