Google Introduces Google Buzz

Google Buzz is built right into GMail. It brings all your social networking to one location including Picasa, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Google Reader, etc. It lets you check out high quality pictures and share messages in real time. There's no need to set up anything since it's already built into your GMail. It also works as a mobile web-app for cell phones as well.

Google is rolling out the new feature, it will be available to everyone soon.

AT&T Launches Mark the Spot App for iPhones

AT&T launched an app to help get feedback on dropped calls for the iPhone. It gives users the ability to send information back to AT&T about dropped calls and gaps in coverage. In their statement:

AT&T is committed to providing its customers with the best network experience possible.

This application will help contribute towards this goal and its utilization is greatly appreciated.

It's something, so I guess it's better than nothing. But I have a question, if you aren't getting any service, how are you suppose to send feedback to AT&T. Heck, right now I can barely get service to download the app! Also, looking at the picture above, the app tells you to call customer service i at 611 if you need help. AT&T customers know that calling customer service is the biggest pain in the ass about AT&T. I'd almost rather live with the problem than call those know-nothing-jerk-offs.

Firefox Launches Firefox Mobile, Cute Logo

Firefox recently launched Firefox Mobile for Nokia N810 and N900 phones. Yep, no one is using it at all. But the logo was cute enough for me to post this. Hopefully, one day it will make its way to the iPhone, Blackberry, Android, etc...winblowsmobile6.whatever

If the HTC Hero Was a Super Hero, Would it be the Flash?

Meet the new HTC Hero. It runs Google's Android OS. It looks pretty good and there are videos popping up everywhere showing it off. First off, it's available with an aluminum body. The screen is super responsive, even when using multi-touch gestures (much like the iPhone). It's got all the widgets you expect on just about all phones these days.


But the biggest part of the phone is the supposed built-in flash support. Earlier, Adobe released information saying that they will release Flash for mobile in October of this year (one of the most wanted features on all mobile phones). According to people who have played with the HTC Hero, the flash is there, even though it is a little buggy and could use much improvement. Still, a great phone, running a great OS, with flash built-in is enough to sell this thing fast. Faster than the flash? We'll see. [HTC Hero]

WTF? Mobile NBC.com Streams Video to iPhone, Android???

The guys at lifehacker decided to try out NBC.com's mobile site m.nbc.com and as it turns out, the site is awesome. Why? Well, because as people eagerly await a hulu app for the iPhone and Android to watch streaming videos or full eps of tv shows, apparently NBC's mobile site has had it available all along in a Quicktime format! It was the okie-doke! While the quality isn't as good as watching a show on a computer, but it works pretty well, even on EDGE/3G!
There's a ton of full episodes available. They are usually broken down into 4 or 5 parts to make streaming a little smoother. Oh yea, and there are ads (the first ad I saw for the Blackberry Bold, how ironic). Also, Lifehacker says that the streaming on Android seems "clunky" even without a lag. [Lifehacker] [NBC Mobile]
