Logitech Touch Mouse App Turns iPhone into a Wireless Trackpad/Keyboard

The Logitech Touch Mouse app for the iPod Touch and iPhone can turn you gadget into a wireless trackpad and keyboard for your computer. It works over wifi and you'll need to download software on your computer as well as get the app for it to work. Pretty cool and useful if you want to use your iPhone/iPod as a control your computer or media center without cords.

1) Get the Touch Mouse App for your iPhone or iPod touch from the App Store
2) Download Touch Mouse Server software and install it on your computer.

House M.D. Game Comes to iPhone

A video game based on the tv show House has been released for $2.99 in the iTunes App Store. It's a puzzle game in which you try to diagnose and solve patient's illnesses. If you need another reason to get it, or watch the show: Olivia Wilde.

AT&T Launches Mark the Spot App for iPhones

AT&T launched an app to help get feedback on dropped calls for the iPhone. It gives users the ability to send information back to AT&T about dropped calls and gaps in coverage. In their statement:

AT&T is committed to providing its customers with the best network experience possible.

This application will help contribute towards this goal and its utilization is greatly appreciated.

It's something, so I guess it's better than nothing. But I have a question, if you aren't getting any service, how are you suppose to send feedback to AT&T. Heck, right now I can barely get service to download the app! Also, looking at the picture above, the app tells you to call customer service i at 611 if you need help. AT&T customers know that calling customer service is the biggest pain in the ass about AT&T. I'd almost rather live with the problem than call those know-nothing-jerk-offs.

Play Commodore 64 on iPhone

The Commodore 64 app for the iPhone has been in and out of the iTunes app store for a while due to the rights and usage bullcrap many apps get denied for. But it looks like the app is back for good. for $4.99, you can play Commodore 64 games on the iPhone. Not bad for a bunch of classics. The best part about all this is that i Commodore is here to stay, roms can't be too far behind.

Command and Conquer Now Available for iPhone

Electronic Arts has released an app for the Command and Conquer game for the iPhone. Buy it today for $9.99 in the iTunes App Store.

Google Navigation for Android 2.0, Coming Soon for iPhone

Along with Android 2.0, Google has launched Navigation! Oh, AND IT'S FREE! No surprise that Tom Tom's stock tumbled as a result. The Google Navigation app will also be coming to the iPhone soon.

Want to Watch the NBA on the Go, There's an App for That

NBA League Pass released an app yesterday allowing users to watch non-blacked out games on their iPhone. The app costs $39.99 and will likely need a renewal next year. While it is expensive, it lets users watch 40 games per week right off the iPhone's 3G network (wifi works as well). The app also has full game archives, replays, highlights and more. League pass is pretty expensive if you want to buy it for TV. NBA Digital also has a broadband version of League Pass that starts at $90 for the season. So while 40 bucks is a lot for an iPhone app, it's a better price than the alternatives.

Rock Band for iPhone Now in App Store

Rock Band for the iPhone is now available from the iTunes App Store. The game costs $9.99 and allows players on multiple iPhones and iPod Touches to play together over wifi or Bluetooth. Check out more here. Or click the link to buy. [iTunes link]

FoodScanner for iPhone Tracks Calories

FoodScanner is a $2.99 iPhone app that scans barcodes from the food you eat to automatically keep track of the calories you consume.

It's a big pain in the butt to keep entering the number of calories and other nutritional information one by one, FoodScanner definitely helps makes it easier and faster.

Auto-Tune for iPhone

The "I am T-Pain" app created by smule (same people who made ocarina) for the iPhone gives your voice the auto-tune "enhancement."

It sells for $2.99. Looks like it works pretty well, but I'll wait til it goes on sale.

Madden 2010 Coming to iPhone

The Madden franchise will hit iPhones and iPod Touches soon. The game will feature real NFL rosters (including Mr. Vick and Mr. Favre). The game should hit the iTunes App store before opening day in the NFL, September 10th. Hopefully the game won't cost more than $10. Otherwise, I'm going to stick to NFL 2010 which is good enough.

Order Chipotle On Your iPhone

You can now order your burritos on the go with the Chipotle app from the iTunes App Store. The app allows you to locate the nearest Chipotle restaurant, make your own burritos, tacos, bols, etc... and place your order so that by the time you get there, it's ready for you. It even has options for extra cheese or 1/2 chicken, 1/2 steak! Fancy, and a must have if there's a Chipotle near you. [Gizmodo]

Spotify, an app that lets you stream music online, was submitted to Apple. Too bad it won't be available in America due to licensing restrictions.

Sirius XM Radio App Available for iPhone

The Sirius XM Radio App is now available (finally) for the iPhone. The app is for free and so is the subscription...for 7 days. Users will have to pay $3 a month to use the service after the initial 7 day trial period. Current Sirius XM users can log in using their Premium Subscription to use the app along with their other car or home kit satellite radio kit. Now, normally, a Sirius XM subscription costs $7 a month. So why would anyone pay $7 for something they can have on the go for $3? Well, because although the app brings Sirius XM to your iPhone, it doesn't bring Howard Stern and nearly the entire sports side of satellite radio.

Some select programming, including MLB® Play-by-Play, NFL Play-by-Play, SIRIUS NASCAR® Radio, and Howard Stern, will not be available on the iPhone and iPod touch. Listeners will continue to be able to access that programming through the platforms they are currently offered on.

What a bunch of bull! Without this programming, I might as well listen to my iPod! I would have totally paid $3 a month, but without the sports action and Howard Stern, this app became totally not worth it! [iPhone blog]

MLB at Bat App to Stream Live Full Games over 3G!

In truly historic fashion, the MLB at Bat app will begin streaming full LIVE games over 3G networks tomorrow. Soon after the 3.0 firmware hits today, the app will have the capacity to do the streaming.

If you remember, back in March, the CBS Sports app allowed users to stream live NCAA basketball games for March Madness over the iPhone using a wifi connection. However, the fact that MLB will stream over 3G makes the app 100% portable. Practically anywhere you go (except the subway I guess) you can watch a full game! Making the $10 app totally worth it considering you can get gameday audio and updated scores highlights and play-by-play as well.

If you're a baseball fan, the first game will be at 2:20 EST between the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs followed by the Detroit Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals at 8:20 EST.

If you're not a baseball fan, just think what this could mean for the future of TV. Tivo got rid of the time restraint for watching your favorite shows. This could very well mean that shows could be streamed live as well! [Gizmodo]

GV Mobile

GV Mobile is a app that brings Google Voice to your iPhone/iPod Touch. It allows you to make calls, send text messages, record calls and check visual voicemail from all your phone numbers in one central location. The app comes in two versions. The free version lets you make and receive calls, but not much else. The full version is for $2.99 and has all the features that make the app great. Still, for most people it would be a waste of $3 for an app that's cool but they wouldn't use much.

Skype for iPhone Comes Out Tomorrow

According to The Wall Street Journal, the Skype app for the iPhone will come out tomorrow.

Skype's software, which can be downloaded free, allows iPhone users to call other Skype users on computers or supported cellphones free if they are in a Wi-Fi hot spot. Or they may call land lines for a fee, typically 2.1 cents a minute.
