Samsung, Sprint Introduce the Corniest Phone Ever

Samsung and Sprint have introduced the Reclaim. A phone made out of corn.

Then new slider phone is made of 80% recycled material. The bio-plastic enclosure is made from corn.

It packs a QWERTY keyboard, a 2MP camera, supports stereo bluetooth, micro SD cards and comes with Sprint Navigation.

The packaging will come from recycled material as well and soy based ink.

It'll come in "Earth Green" or "Ocean Blue" and is due out on August 16 for $50 after rebates and 2 year contract.

$2 of each purchase will be donated to the Nature Conservancy's Adopt an Acre program. [BusinessWire]

2010 Prius is Greener

The 2010 Toyota Prius was on display at the Detroit Auto Show. They have improved the gas mileage to 50 MPG and given it a more powerful 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine for more power on the highways. But the biggest feature is the optical solar panels on the roof of the car which create enough power to handling the cooling and air circulation inside the car.
