Happy 4/20 (For Those of You Who Celebrate Such Holidays)

April 20th isn't the greatest day, but it does mark some important events in our lifetime and above all else is a "holiday."

Thanks to Michael Phelps, Poor People Will Get to Eat Breakfast

About 3,800 pounds of cereal was dumped on the San Francisco Food Bank recently. Most of it was from Kellog's with a certain Olympic gold medalist who was caught bong-handed. As everyone knows, Kellog said it would no longer sponsor Michael Phelps after the incident.

Apparently, that left only one problem: what to do with the boxes of Corn Flakes and Frosted Flakes bearing Phelps' toothy grin. The answer seemed pretty clear two weeks ago when the local Food Bank took delivery of nearly 2 tons of the cereal.
The man behind the food bank, Paul Ash, says that cereal is one of the items they don't usually see.

"It's a very tough item to get," Ash said. "In the last six or eight years, it's become very hard to get ahold of."

The sudden appearance of about 3,800 pounds of flakes would indicate that someone was trying to dump some unwanted stock.

To me, this is the best thing Michael Phelps as done. Big whoop he can swim and won eight medals that no one will care about until the next Olympics. When's the last time someone was responsible for donating 2 TONS of cereal to a food bank? And, all he had to do was take a hit off a bong! That's special! [SF Gate]
