Become YouTube Famous Without Owning a Computer, Go to the Apple Store

Young Nicholi may or may not own a computer, but that hasn't stopped him from becoming YouTube famous. He has his own YouTube channel comprising of mostly videos (mostly of his lip-synching) posted from the Apple Store on 5th Avenue in NYC.

It's impossible that Apple doesn't know about his activities, since the videos are 3-5 minute songs, he does some dancing and he has a TON of videos. You can even see people making fun of him in the background but that don't phase Nicholi. I'm guessing they really don't care since it's free publicity for Apple. [YouTube via Gizmodo]

NYC in 3D

New York in 3D from Tachyon XC on Vimeo.

Here's a video of Tachyon's 3D camera in action on the streets of NYC. Obviously you need to be wearing the 3D glasses to see what it's like, but it gave me a headache looking at it without the glasses.

NYC Exit Strategy App Gets You In and Out of the Subways Quick

The NYC Exit Strategy App for the iPhone, Blackberry, Android and Kindle makes finding the correct route to your destination very easy. All you have to do is choose your destination or what line you want to use and it will give you all the possible entrances and exits. It even has notices for handicap-accessible stations. Never have to look at a crappy, confusing, crowded subway map again! Not to mention, it tells you which subway car to sit in, so that you can get out at the stairs closest to your destination. It sells for $2, totally a fair price to pay for the time you'll save. [Gizmodo]

Snowboarding in NYC

So they built a giant ramp in East River Park, so some pros can do "urban snowboarding"; I think they might be trying to break some kind of record. I'm sure a lot of people will turn out to see this event happening Thursday, Feb. 5th. [story via gizmodo] [more videos via Red Bull Snowboarding]
