Local Sports Anchor Under Arrest for Raping Underage Prostitute

One-time sports anchor Marvell Scott is under arrest on rape charges. WCBS-TV reports Scott, formerly with WABC-TV/Channel 7, surrendered to police this morning.

Police say Scott raped a 14-year-old prostitute in his Midtown Manhattan apartment.

Scott was scheduled to face a judge Tuesday afternoon. His attorney, according to WCBS, says Scott is the victim of a shakedown by two prostitutes and a pimp.

Scott, who turns 37 on February 28, left WABC in May initially believed to be on an extended vacation. However, he never returned. Instead, Scott went on to pursue a medical practice. Dr. Marvell Scott specializes in sports medicine.

He told the Daily News in June that he was in the final stages of his education and a fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton, N.J.

Jeezus, this story has everything, a sports anchor, a doctor, a underage prostitute, a shakedown. It must be true. [Examiner]

The North Face Files Lawsuit Against Parody

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The North Face Apparel Corp. is suing a small suburban St. Louis-area company called The South Butt and the teenager who started it.

The lawsuit filed last week in federal court in St. Louis seeks unspecified damages and asks the court to prohibit The South Butt from marketing and selling its parody product line.

The North Face says it does not comment on pending litigation.

The South Butt's attorney, Albert Watkins, says the company was started by 18-year-old Jimmy Winkelmann to help pay for college. It puts out products with the tag line "Never Stop Relaxing," a parody of The North Face line, "Never Stop Exploring."

The parody company sells T-shirts, fleece jackets and sweatshirts on its Web site.

Thank you North Face for being complete douchebags and suing a kid who is making some money (probably just pennies) to pay for college by selling clothes that make fun of your overpriced brand. Jerks. [SouthButt, NorthFace]

BREAKING: Tiger Woods Regrets His "Transgressions" (Damn!)

The Tiger Woods of golf (that would be Tiger Woods) seems to be admitting a little something in his latest statement, posted on his website:

I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.

Read the rest at TigerWoods.com.

Guessing it might have a little something to do with this VM he left to that new chick-in-the-news, Jaimee Grubbs:

Damn!! Really? No, seriously: Damn, Tiger!!

That. Was... AWESOME!!

As you'll see in the following video, Keith Ballard of the Atlanta Thrashers Florida Panthers is quite upset with himself about the goal that was just scored on his team.

Or is he actually upset with his goalie? You be the judge!

Okay no, he was just upset with himself. But he has some awful aim. I know whose name I wouldn't enter into the All Star Game skills competition.

Hey Jerry, How's Microsoft Paying You?

Here's Jerry Seinfeld. Still using a Mac. After doing Microsoft commercials. Still a Mac User. This is a screen shot from the last "Curb Your Enthusiasm" episode. I guess this explains why he never used a Mac in any of those stupid commercials Microsoft made with him and Bill Gates...

If you don't remember the ads... here's one...

I guess Windows 7 was moist and chewey, but...still a Mac user. PLATINUM!!!

Dumbass Parent Has Kid Rid on Roof of Minivan

This 37-year-old woman is facing child endangerment charges for allegedly having her 13-year-old daughter ride in a cardboard box on top of her minivan as it traveled along an interstate highway in Alabama. The woman, Jackie Knott, a Tyson Foods poultry processing facility worker, was pulled over by cops. She told the officers that the cardboard box was too big to fit in her minivan and therefore she had her daughter serve as a human paperweight to prevent the box from flying away. As as precaution, she had tied the box down with wire hangers. The cops weren't convinced by the woman's effort and therefore arrested her. Why she didn't just flatten the box to get it to fit in her car? That remains to be known, but I'm guessing it's because this woman is a stupid hick. [TheSmokingGun]

CNBC'S Silicon Valley Bureau Chief, Jim Goldman, is Stupid

Jim Goldman says to buy a Mac instead of a PC. Jim Goldman is an idiot.

I can understand if you want to buy a Mac over a PC for a legitimate reason (or vice versa). But don't buy one for the reasons Jim Goldman says above, because he is a flat out LIAR.

He claims that a PC will need about $600 worth of extra equipment to run as well as a Mac. Which is complete horse crap. He says you need to buy photoshop, which is apparently included in a Mac (obviously, not true). He goes on to say there is a ton of features you need that are included in a Mac but you have to pay for with a PC. Most of the stuff is totally bogus and you can get free anti-virus, free iTunes, free Picasa.

Talk about irresponsible reporting.

Dear CNBC, next time you want to compare PCs vs Macs call a tech blogger instead of your Silicon Valley Bureau Chief.

The one thing I will agree on is that "Once you go Mac, you don't go back."
