...and Now We State the Obvious

CLEVELAND (AP) -- A person with knowledge of the choice tells The Associated Press that Cleveland's LeBron James has won the NBA's Most Valuable Player award.
James, who led Cleveland to a team record 66 regular-season wins and the top overall seed in the playoffs, will receive the award Monday afternoon at Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, his alma mater, says the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because the official announcement has not been made.
James is the first Cavaliers player to win the award.
The24-year-old averaged 28.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.2 assists this season, his sixth as a pro. He also finished second in voting for defensive player of the year.

Assassin's Creed on iPhone

Here are screenshots from the games opening trailer. Pretty good looking and all, but it's a video clip screen shots.

Now, here are the in game screen shots, pretty sweet too!

So far (after one level) the game plays great. It has been smooth and the controls are fairly simple, when you need to perform an action, the button for that action will pop up. The standard buttons stay up on the screen (jump, fight). Even fighting is fun! This might be the best game thus far for the iPhone given its complexity in a 3D environment.

Pet Airways

Yes, instead of being in a crate in a cargo hold, your dog will be in a crate in the main passenger area. It's not like they get walked while on board. Still not too bad for about $150 one way. Which is about the same as airlines charge you for putting your pet in the cargo area. There is limited service so far in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York. They also have flight attendants that check up on your pet every 15 minutes and give them potty breaks before and after the flight.

Also, isn't this a disaster waiting to happen. Something goes wrong, a pet escapes, leads to a plane crash, pet owners are outraged, airlines is forced to shut down...

Terminator Salvation Trailer for iPhone & iPod Touch

Pretty impressive for a game on an iPhone/iPod Touch. It might be the best game to date. Just hope the controls are as good as the game looks.

Some of the Worst Radio Announcing Ever

So...I'm guessing that Atlanta's radio announcers don't like Dwayne Wade...Usually, home team radio announcer's root for their team. But these guys just found a new low.

When Dwyane Wade blocked Maurice Evans from behind, Holman yelled, "He did not go for the ball, he hit him right in the back and knocked Mo Evans down!" Holman yelled. "Dwyane Wade tried to hurt Mo Evans!" The league apparently disagreed, rescinding Wade's flagrant foul on Thursday.

Later in the game, Al Horford was fouled when making a move to the basket, turning his ankle as he landed and writhing in pain. "Oh my goodness, the Heat have resorted the thuggery!" exclaimed Holman. Actually, no; as Horford later admitted, "I just came down very awkward, that's all." (So awkward, incidentally, that he's been ruled out for tonight's game.)
