Looks like I'm not the only one to hate the Kindle. Amazon is now offering up an application that allows you to download (via purchase) any book for the Kindle and then have it transferred to your iPhone. It was an obvious move and a bad one at that. I don't know how many stupid Kindle's you've sold Amazon, but now, you will sell even less.
And no, it won't be because you made this app and people will use it instead of buying a Kindle (although I'm sure some will). It is because the Kindle still sucks and it's still $350 dollars and you still have to buy books on it for $10 (which is about half price for the physical book). Hence after you buy about 20-35 books, you will have paid off your Kindle. Woopty f'in doo!
The one cool thing I do see is that the app will allow for color images (which the Kindle doesn't have). It also makes possible the idea of having frame by frame comics come to the iPhone for easy scrolling.
The Kindle app is now available at the iTunes App store. Oh, and by the way books are still selling at book stores, go buy one today.
