iPod: The Secret Behind Manchester United's Success

Manchester United has been one of the most successful franchises in football across the pond. And now, we know why...

After 120 minutes of regulation play in the English Cup Final, Manchester United and Tottemham Hotspur were scoreless. Hence they went into penalty kicks.

In comes the iPod...Man-U's goalkeeping coach, Eric Steele, pulls out his iPod and shows videos of the Hotspur team taking penalty kicks to his goalkeeper Ben Foster. In the end, United won 4-1.

While talking to the BBC, Foster says, "We went into the shoot-out as well prepared as possible. We have had things to look at over the last couple of days and before the shoot-out, you can see me looking at an iPod with Eric Steele. It had actual video on it and showed where players put things. Eric brought it when he came to the club. I have never seen anything like it. It is a fantastic tool for us."

Another Win for Manchester United...and the iPod! [TUAW]
