New HDMI 1.4 Features Revealed


For those who don't know, an HDMI cable is the ridiculously expensive cable required to connect an HDTV to a video component like a bluray player or digital cable. The newly released HDMI spec brings several new features to the consumer. The biggest of which is an integrated Ethernet channel that will provide network connectivity to connected devices thereby eliminating the need for a separate network connection via the Ethernet cable.
