A woman in Boston bought a LCD HDTV from the retailer that is going out of business. According to Circuit City, all sales are final and customers can't open the packaging until they purchase the product. Here's what happened:
Customer Gina Reis paid $1,100 for a big screen Samsung TV at the liquidation sale, only to get it home and discover it was completely unusable.
"It's shattered from here all the way up, and then on the other side as well," said Reis.
When the couple took the set back to the store ... "They said, 'Sorry, your problem, not ours," Reis said.
Repairs would cost $2,000 and Circuit City said it would do nothing.
"I expected to get a TV that was working," Reis said. [WCVB TV]
Yeah, that sucks! Even smaller items may be damaged like this this guy who bought Resident Evil 4 for Playstation 2 for $7.50. It's not a lot of money but he can't play the game nor can he return it. Sucks! [Kotaku]
