Washington Huskies Men's Basketball in pursuit of first outright conference title since 1953

The University of Washington Men's Basketball team won last night in an overtime thriller against the 11th-ranked Arizona State Sun Devils. The victory puts the Huskies 1 1/2 games ahead of ASU, UCLA and Cal for first place in the Pac-10.

Pre-season polls predicted Washington to finish fifth in the Pac-10, however with a win over Arizona on Saturday, the Huskies can clinch it's first outright conference title in 56 years. In 1985, the Huskies shared the title with Arizona behind the likes of Detlef Schrempf and Chris Welp.

After missing the NCAA tournament that last two years, who would of thought that the Huskies could come out on top?
