iPhone Saves Driver from a Ticket

Paul, a TUAW reader, was pulled over by a cop. When he was asked to show his proof of insurance, he realized that he had not updated the card in his car to the latest one. Not having a valid proof of insurance would cost him $200 and if you don't have cash, they take your license for bond.

Luckily Paul has and iPhone. He was quickly able to access the GEICO website and have them send him a .pdf of his current proof of insurance. He showed this to the officer who gladly accepted it.

If you think about it, the iPhone costs $200. If Paul had gotten this ticket, he would have lost $200 (or his license). Talk about a good investment (those are hard to find these days).

Just another reason to love your iPhone.
