Senator Ted Kennedy has been taken out of the Congressional Luncheon held after the inauguration of President Barack Obama. He is apparently suffering a seizure. This news came after word that Senator Robert Byrd collapsed during the luncheon because he was overcome with emotions.
Senator Orrin Hatch, a good friend of Kennedy (although hes a conservative republican), says he was with Kennedy until he was taken into the ambulance. He tells CNN that once the seizure started to come to an end, Kennedy had that smile on his face. The one that says everything is going to be okay.
Hopefully it holds true.
UPDATE: The AP says that Senator Byrd decided to leave when Kennedy collapsed, but not because of any medical issues.
