iPhone Outsells Blackberry Storm 5 to 1

RIM has successfully sold its 500,000 Blackberry Storm since its release on November 21st. Congradulations. Unfortunatly in that same time, there have been 2.4 Million iPhones sold according to Apple's the quarterly report that will be released on Wednesday. Let's not forget that there has been no new iPhone to come out in that span of time. RIM was bringing out the Storm to compete with a product that was out for 5 months already and still couldn't pull out a win.

Sigh. When will Rim and Verizon learn to stop putting out Beta products? The Blackberry Storm was released with buggy software that needed multiple firmware updates. It wasn't like the bugs small and unnoticeable either. They would cause crashes and cause severe lag. Not to mention that the phone isn't even as fast as other Blackberrys, such as the Bold. That vertical 2 letter per key keyboard is pretty annoying as well, but we know that a patch is on it's way to fix all that.

Here's the key, stop putting out crappy gadgets to meet deadlines. Offer some sort of simplicity and open up the product for everyone, not just businesses. They better pick this up fast because after the release of Android, you can bet Google is going to creep into the mix and RIM will have 2 competitors to worry about. [AppleInsider]
