NCAA President, Myles Brand, Says He is Battling Cancer

The head of the NCAA, Myles Brand, says that he is battling Pancreatic Cancer and that the long term outlook is "not good."

"I have pancreatic cancer," the statement said. "The long-term prognosis is not good. I am currently undergoing chemotherapy, and I am receiving excellent care. I will know in the next several months the success of this treatment."

Brand is most famous for his firing of Indiana Men's Basketball Coach Bob Knight in 2000 for violating the "zero-tolerance" policy for misbehavior when he was the President at Indiana.
