You can now head over to books.google.com/m and read hundreds of free books online. The same books that you could read online with Google Books are now available in a portable online version. It looks pretty clear since Google uses a optical character recognition scan to convert the pages to make it legible. If you like reading books on the go without being online, you can try the Stanza app for free. Plus Stanza offers a lot of recent books. Google Books has the oldies.
