Sam Bradford Nominated

Sam Bradford is my first nominee for dumbass of 2009. He has decided
to return to Oklahoma for his junior year. I have no problem with
college athletes finishing up four years of college before making the
jump to the pros, but with Sam Bradford, it's different.

First off, On almost everyones mock draft he is seen as being drafted
in the top five picks overall. So he knows he will definitly find a
team that will most likely start him.

Maybe he doesn't like that idea and doesn't want to go to a crappy
team like Detroit. But if he goes to Detroit, theres no pressure. If
he wins one game, it'll be an improvement. Not to mention the fact
that they will have a new head coach and a pretty good receiver in
Calvin Johnson.

Also, let's not forget, there is a chance that he could get injured
next year and possibly end his career. At least if he goes into the
NFL, he will get a guarenteed contract. So if he gets injured there,
he'll still get paid. He will still make enough money to help himself
and his entire family (quite possibly for the rest of their lives).

Next, what is he trying to prove next season? He wants to win the BCS
Championship? Well let's say he does, he won't have his two big
receivers who were seniors this year. Let's not forget, Tim Tebow is
coming back with a solid Gator team as well (rematch?).

You can't do better than number one in the draft. Even if he comes
back and wins a BCS championship, he may still drop down in the draft
next year.

He won the heisman, got to the BCS Championship game, and was the most
efficient QB in all of college football. There is no reason to come
back except to win the title game.

He wants to win a championship? He should go into the NFL and try to
win the Super Bowl, not some computer generated matchup that can be
disputed.
